Research internships

I take a small number of research interns each year, usually undergraduate or postgraduate students in computer science, data science, economics or management, working remotely or at MSE, Chennai.

Applied machine learning in business and social sciences

• Large language models and transformer-based topic modelling for research mapping and text analysis: working knowledge of Python and text mining.
• Network modelling in finance and the social sciences: working knowledge of R or Python and the theory of network models.

Applied tools

• Interactive research and teaching applications in R Shiny or Python: experience building and deploying small web applications.
